Hey FoolProof team.

My name Is Shawn M. A. Miranda from Gillette Wy. I just finished your program and I am about to get my first debt card. I am 17 (18 next Jan) and a senior in high school. I would just like to thank you for making the FoolProof program. It really was very helpful and I learned so much that my head feels 5 pounds heavier haha.

Again it was so helpful to me and it's something I will carry with me for a long time. Thou I have a few questions I think I will let the smoke coming from my brain to clear first.
I'm not sure but would you consider a web cam program? It would help people get the answers they didn't get from the mods and may clear up some murky things.

Anyway that's just an idea, thank you again I hope to hear for you guys because I do have a few Q's.

Thank you FoolProof
Sincerely, Shawn M. A. Miranda

Hi Shawn!

Thanks so much for you awesome feedback!

It's great to hear good things from someone that just worked through our program, and I'm stoked that you learned stuff that you can actually use in real life, and actually enjoyed it along the way.

Please do ask any questions that you have. You can email me any of 'em, or we can set up a phoncall and chat in person. Whichever you're comfortable with.

Can you elaborate what you mean with a webcam program? Do you mean for us to add a webcam to our site that is connected to the FoolProof offices, and if a user has a question they can tune in and chat with a FoolProof rep?

Thanks for the feedback once again Shawn, we do really appreciate it. I hope you'll have a great weekend and I'm looking forward to hearing from you regarding your questions!

Cheers, Will.

Thank you for the respawns Will. To be honst I wasn't expecting one haha.

As for the web cam program you pretty much had it right. A program that lets people (like me) talk directly to you guys could clear some things up.

As for my qestion I want to know "what is the best way to build credit WITHOUT geting a credit card?" I know the cards are nice if used right but my family had some rough times due to "sucker punch" awhile back so im going to wait for awhile befor i consider a card.

So I wanted to build up credit first. So HOW?

Well thank you for the respawns and the intrest in my suggestion.

You have a good weekend yourself Will and thanks again.

Sincerly Shawn M. A. Miranda

Hi Shawn,

Your webcam idea is an interesting one, and we'll definitely start looking into this for future updates. Thanks so much for throwing that idea our way.

As for your building credit question, there's a couple of things you can do. We're working on a story for our website on this (thanks for another great idea), but here's a quick overview. I'll also be sure to send the full article your way when we publish it.

Of course the easiest and quickest way would to build credit would be by getting a credit card wisely. But as you mentioned already, you want to wait a little while with this. We completely understand this decision.

The second quickest way would be to get a (small) loan at a credit union. Personally, what I would do is go to a (good) credit union and open up a checking or savings account in your name (you might have to get a parent/guardian to cosign, but that's okay). After opening the account you could go talk to the credit union and ask them if they would allow you to get a small loan and make sure you tell them this is for building credit purposes.

To make sure you can pay for the loan, you could safe up some money first, and then get the loan for the amount you saved, and then pay off as you go. This way you will start building credit and prepare for a solid (financial) future for yourself.

Maybe what you could do is talk to 2 or 3 credit unions in your area to see if they would allow you to do this, and which one would offer you the best service. Not every credit union is alike, and making sure you hook up with the right one would be essential.

This article on credit on our CUHQ website might also give you some additional information: http://cuhq.foolproofonline.info/foolproof/money/buildcredit/

Anyways... I hope this helps Shawn.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Cheers, Will.
